Thanksgiving Break Blog

      This Thanksgiving break I took time for myself to reflect on what I want my aspirations for this class to be. Sometimes, after weeks and weeks of doing schoolwork every day, it's nice to finally have a break to take a step back away from the stress. I love having breaks from school, it's so easy to get caught up in everything. I feel like this week will allow some creativity to flow for the movie project. I can't wait to get started on the aspects of the short film. My partner and I created websites and social media for our project. Including, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. It's going to be so much fun to start making content for these pages, and perhaps get some fans too! I'm assuming that we will take certain clips from the film and create some teasers of the short film. When we actually start filming, I'm so intrigued to see how it plays out. Of course there is always an idea of what the film will look like, but we arent professionals by any means. I

Story Board for Short Film

Storyboarding is an essential part of filmmaking. It's basically a plan that lays out exactly how the movie is going to be filmed. From shots to certain lighting, a storyboard will make it simple when it comes to actually getting to business. My partner and I decided the best way to efficiently create the storyboard would be to split the work into two. I took the first half of the film, and she took the second. Before creating the storyboards, however, we had a meeting to discuss techniques that we wanted to implement. Once we were on the same page about how we were going to construct the film, we both got to work. While creating, we were always checking in to make sure we were both on track to create the most optimal storyboard we could. We wanted to focus on using certain shots and angles to create the eerie, and confusing vibe in our film.
