Costumes and Props

  Alex and I delegated the props and costumes we will be using for our film. For the opening scene, we did not have many things we needed to purchase. We wanted to keep the colors of their outfits simple and neutral. Colors like navy, white, black, and grey will all be utilized to maintain the film's neutral color palette. In the opening scene, Kayla will be wearing navy while Elle is wearing white and black. As the scene progresses to indoors. Household items will be used as props to set the home. We are using a location that is already furnished, which makes that aspect simple. As Elle moves into her room, a melatonin bottle and a vase will be used as props. I can bring these items from home since I already have them in my possession. For Elle's nighttime outfit, she will change into something more comfortable. Story Board for Short Film

Storyboarding is an essential part of filmmaking. It's basically a plan that lays out exactly how the movie is going to be filmed. From shots to certain lighting, a storyboard will make it simple when it comes to actually getting to business. My partner and I decided the best way to efficiently create the storyboard would be to split the work into two. I took the first half of the film, and she took the second. Before creating the storyboards, however, we had a meeting to discuss techniques that we wanted to implement. Once we were on the same page about how we were going to construct the film, we both got to work. While creating, we were always checking in to make sure we were both on track to create the most optimal storyboard we could. Genres I Would Like to Research

      With my pitch being a movie that leans to the more mysterious, spooky, and dark side of film making, it seems appropriate that the genres to consider for it would be thriller, horror, or genre. It all depends on what part of the plot fill be focused on and how we want the story to come across, since all these genres, though similar, all have different ways of being produced. All of these points contributing to the final film's end result will be needed to be considered by me and my partner in order to decide which genre holds our vision.     For a thriller movie, the kidnapping aspect of the film would be highlighted. This is due to the fact that thriller movies tend to lean towards a more action, motion-based film. I would consider this genre if that was the vision we were leaning too.
